Psychosis causes a strong distortion in the perception of reality, even placing the person completely outside of it. For Bergeret, psychosis is a \"psychic structure\".\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In common parlance today we tend to use \"psychosis\" to describe the symptoms that it can provoke, like a delusion or a paranoid thought. On a recurring basis, it is also used by to designate an unfounded fear or an exaggerated and irrational belief.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><b>At a time when the great forests of the world are burning and hundreds of species are disappearing every day, can we say that the fear of a point of no return in the degradation of our ecosystem is \"unfounded\"?\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><b>As thousands of humans face water scarcity, and climate refugees grow, can we say that fear of extinction of part of humanity is irrational or exacerbated?\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La situation de la plan\u00e8te a un impact sur le psychisme individuel, et le lien entre bien-\u00eatre psychique et situation \u00e9cologique devient plus intime et plus criant. C\u2019est hors mis l&rsquo;urgence, d\u00fb \u00e0 une m\u00e9diatisation accrue des informations, et aux analyses et r\u00e9actions individuelles et collectives \u00e0 ce sujet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cet impact se traduit de diff\u00e9rentes formes : \u00ab solastalgie \u00bb &#8211; d\u00e9pression caus\u00e9e par la crise \u00e9cologique &#8211; situations de stress chronique ou aigu, en lien avec la r\u00e9p\u00e9tition d\u2019images choc de d\u00e9tresse humaine et non-humaine.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We also observe a transformation of personal, social and political gestures, with generational differences particularly mediatized: younger and younger children refuse to eat animals, teenagers address revolted adult leaders who can not mobilize their psychic and material resources effectively.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><h2><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><b>How to understand this resistance?\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A little explored is to realize that the ecological crisis pushes us to confront, as an individual and as a species, the possibility of our own disappearance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now, death represents an \"unthinkable\", at the same time not elaborated by the psyche and present filigree throughout the life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nous nous retrouvons donc dans une obligation de penser notre propre mort, ce qui qui d\u00e9clenche, logiquement, des m\u00e9canismes de d\u00e9fense farouches.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><h2><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><b>How to think the unthinkable?\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Comment, justement, \u00e9viter que ce refus de penser la crise \u00e9cologique provoque ou entretienne un d\u00e9ni de r\u00e9alit\u00e9 proche de la psychose ?\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">C\u2019est encore Ernst von Feuchtersleben, m\u00e9decin viennois issu du romantisme allemand, qui nous ouvre des pistes de r\u00e9flexion fort int\u00e9ressantes. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ce courant philosophique met l\u2019accent sur l\u2019irrationalit\u00e9, l\u2019inconscient, la sexualit\u00e9,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">contact with nature and individual values in the construction of an approach to psychic balance.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This was opposed to the Enlightenment spirit of French and English schools, empirical and rationalist, who cultivated the hope of a scientific explanation for all mental disorders and to build the notion of health.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today, it is eco-psychology, more represented in the Anglo-Saxon world than in France, which models this conceptual bridge.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Indeed, Reason can not apprehend the reality of a \"Nature\" except as an object outside of itself. However, it would only be <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the connection experience<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to this same Nature, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">central otherwise to our psychic balance,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that we can integrate a deep sense of unity with it. Through the experience of deep contact, of intimate encounter, it is not a question of putting the relational dimension between Humanity and Nature at work, but rather of transcending separation. This reworking of the \"inside\" and the \"outside\", the conscious and unconscious outlines of our deep psyche, would be the key to access the mobilization of the necessary psychic resources, and trigger the mechanisms of resilience and action in the face of this \"unthinkable\" .<\/span><\/p><h2><b><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Notre positionnement face \u00e0 ce constat.<\/span><\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nous voyons rapidement en quoi cette id\u00e9e fait peur d\u2019un c\u00f4t\u00e9 et pourrait facilement faire sourire notre entourage de l\u2019autre. Car, en tant qu\u2019h\u00e9ritier.e.s direct.e.s des Lumi\u00e8res et bien avant m\u00eame d\u2019arriver sur le terrain de l\u2019\u00e9cologie, cette approche nous demande de changer profond\u00e9ment notre fa\u00e7on d\u2019appr\u00e9hender le savoir, dont la seule version pure et fiable nous viendrait de la Raison.
